Spring Cleaning

Tonight, I have been attempting to reorganize my art materials. It’s a daunting task to say the least. I probably shouldn’t use the term “reorganize,” although that’s what I thought I was doing when I started. No wonder I have a hard time finding things. I used to be very organized; a place for everything and everything in its place. I’m quickly learning that has fallen by the wayside.

Organization is very important to me. I struggle with what psychologists have called “depression” and “attention deficit disorder,” but about a year ago I got tired of being in a fog and got off of all the medication. It was really difficult for about 6 months, but after the fog lifted I started to feel better. I’ve been making changes in my diet, activity level, and  the organization of my surroundings in an attempt to make things easier. I’ve had my ups and downs but for the most part I’m pretty happy with how far I’ve come and I finally look forward to the future. Hopefully removing distractions and getting things in order will help facilitate a creative environment.

Wish me luck!
